About Me

My Story...
Hi, I’m Breanne.
I was the kid that dreamed of a life with horses, regardless of how that looked. I would yell ‘horses’ in the car as we drove by them, cranking my neck watching until they were out of sight. I asked for everything horse related growing up, begged to be put into any position to be near them. To be honest, they have been calling me in for my entire life. Alas, they’ve made their way in with no point of return.

I became a mother, which to be perfectly honest, has shaped who I am in it’s entirety. It was through connecting my horse crazy child to them, that I became engaged with them finally, after almost 20 years of wishing. I decided to start riding myself, because at that point, it was what I was being asked to do. So, I went out riding with my kid on adventures and it bonded us. I found myself wanting more then just the riding with them, I was seeking the connection I dreamed my whole life of having. I will never forget the mare that changed this for me. She and I were on a trail ride, and she just took off, fear engulfing us both and unable to come down from it. I remember leaving that day and her saying to me; “there is another way; go find it”. I attribute that moment to a complete transition in my relationship with horses. And I’ve been able to find another way…

I was thrown into a path of healing. I had become so shadowed by my life that I could not see the light. Then enters my mare April, who to be honest, is my deepest soulmate. Our story could bring you to tears, she was the epitome of the right horse, at the right time. Through our journey together we healed together. Her wounds, triggers, and experienced traumas were parallel to mine. We needed the same growth, and together we have stepped into our authenticity. The impact that she has had on my life is not something you can describe in words. She was the horse that taught me the ‘other way’ as she demands it of me. She showed me the path of the rest of my life… so we walk this together, to show and teach others what the power of horses can have in our lives.

Finding myself connecting to my own intuition and spirituality has really grounded me in my growth. It has been through this journey that I have been able to widen my capacity to hold space, create trust, and bridge this into my work with horses. I find myself so passionate about showing up in partnership with horses. It was the dream I didn’t realize could be created and I am honored they have chosen me as a conduit for their magic.
The Education...
Alongside my personal healing journey, I did follow the nudges of the horses in my education. It was lead by the desire to blend my passion for the healing energy of horses with humans.

Some of the finer details of my education are…

What started my education path personally, was that I noticed a lot of people around me leaned on me for support in their life struggles. It was often I would be able to support them to uncover the root of it which almost always fell to childhood trauma. So, I chose to follow the path of becoming a Child and Youth Care practitioner through Indigenous Focused lens as I felt that this blend would allow me to understand the impact of the childhood years on how we unfold as adults. What I love about that program is it gave me the foundations for the depths of trauma-informed practices, space holding, advocacy, consent, trust, and relationship building. All that I learned in this program has beautifully led how I show up in partnership with the horses and how I facilitate my work.

I was then asked by my mare April, to step into doing equine bodywork, which was a surprise. But with her nudging for a few years, I finally decided to listen to her guidance and journey down this path. I am a Certified Advanced Equine Sports Myo-Massage. Which is my technical title, but I refer to myself as an Intuitive Equine Bodyworker which encompasses all aspects of my work. I lean on my toolkit of intuition and energy work practices that pair beautifully with the physical bodywork. What I love about this is that it has given me the opportunity to see more then just the horse in front of me. It allows me the chance to understand the whole being, the complexities one might not notice. I also get the opportunity to advocate for their voices. It is empowering to give them that.
I wanted a way to blend the healing with horses to the humans as I am so passionate about bringing this guidance to other humans. I have been blessed with experiencing the healing magic of horses in my own life, and without their pure guidance I would not be where I am today. They were instrumental in me healing some of my deep wounds, they also have been a guide for my life choices. I would speak to others about how influential they were in my life, and I found myself wanting to share this connection for them. My passion for this led me down the path of getting certified as a Horse Medicine Leadership Practitioner through the Horse Medicine Leadership Academy. This work brings so much to my life. It has been such a beautiful journey for me to offer their wisdom and give others an opportunity to be in their magical space. I am eternally grateful for how this has unfolded.

In my healing journey for my physical health, I found a modality that opened my eyes to how powerful our self-healing can be. It helped me recover from years of Chronic Pain and stored emotional trauma and patterning. I kept receiving the message that I should learn this modality and my idea was to integrate it into my equine bodywork. Again, April, my mare, encouraged me into it and so I followed her nudge again. The modality is called Craniosacral Therapy which is a blend of anatomy and energy work. In learning this, I have realized I love offering this to humans, so that is the path I have decided to leap into. It has been so transformative to witness others be shown the capacity to heal themselves through the support of Craniosacral Therapy.
